◎简 介
故事发生在车水马龙的繁华大都市洛杉矶西区，一帮“武林高手”聚集于此，经常相互切磋技艺。其中，有一个十分不起眼的男人，他的名字叫麦克（切瓦特·埃加福特 Chiwetel Ejiofor 饰）。麦克是一名防身术教练，功夫了得，然而，平日里习惯低调做人的他并不希望过多的展现自己的实力。
麦克和妻子桑德拉（艾莉丝·布拉加 Alice Braga 饰）开了一间武馆，以此维生，尽管武馆的生意一直平平，但恩爱的夫妻两人对于目前平静的生活感到十分满意。然而，一场意外的发生让麦克无奈的被卷入了利益纷争的漩涡之中，还背负上了累累的债务。为了保护家人，麦克不得不挺身而出，为自己的荣誉而战。
