简 介
詹姆斯．高曼编剧的本片描述俄国最后一位沙皇尼古拉斯二世晚年的生平故事，从1904年开始描述至1918年俄国革命后他们全家被处决的经过。是一部气氛沉重的史诗式宫闱影片，故事有点单调沉闷。导演富兰克林．J．沙夫纳的手法比较庄重，出色的美术及服装设计使当年的俄宫景色得以在银幕上重现，迈克尔．杰斯顿等演员亦普遍出色，本片曾获最佳艺术指导、最佳服装设计两项金像奖。
