第三次世界大战正在进行中，城市居民毫无例外的，又成了大规模袭击的目标，“闪电战”便是常用的手法之一。（不是希特勒的那种闪电战，要顾名思义。）科技改变着生活方式。新的精神药物，新的生活方式，在世界末日来临之际，人们显得愈加疯狂。在莫奇镇的边上，有一家蛋糕店，是对母女经营的。在这动乱的年代里，母亲为了保护女儿Peggy，看管的很严，再三嘱咐莫奇镇已经变成地狱。电视上不断报告莫奇镇的情况，“本周已发生57起凶杀案和80起强奸案”。然而两个玩世不恭的年轻人的出现，改变了Peggy的生活，点燃了Peggy对莫奇镇的好奇。Peggy的母亲为了拯救女儿只身来到莫奇镇......是竭尽全力挽救女儿还是放弃？似乎亲情不允许我们选择。当然，故事的结局也给了我们答案。（
