简 介
雪莉（洛雷塔·迪万恩 Loretta Devine 饰）早年间被丈夫抛弃，丈夫留给了她六个孩子，坚强的雪莉将孩子们抚养长大，却发现已经长大成人的孩子们似乎并不领她的情。如今，孩子们似乎约好了一般的纷纷回到了她的身边，但雪莉知道，这背后的原因并不单纯。
大儿子昆汀（伊德瑞斯·艾尔巴 Idris Elba 饰）从芝加哥回到了洛杉矶，因为他欠下了巨额的高利贷，被债主一路追债只能躲回老家。二儿子在海军服役，但他并未获得部队的允许就擅自回家，不仅如此，他还偷偷的将自己的女友桑迪（杰西卡·斯特普 Jessica Stroup 饰）给带了回来。贝比（克里斯·布朗 Chris Brown 饰）拥有着极高的音乐天赋，但他却想放弃这条道路。
